it has been a long while since i've posted anything on here.  but i just revamped my layouts both here and at my graphics journal!  yay!  they were old and ugly and i just needed a change.  i haven't actually seen atonement, but i'm pretty sure that once i do, i'll be obsessed.  i bought the book, but haven't had time to read it.

sidenote: rensie, i actually started reading less than zero, like two times, but i only got 50ish pages in before school began to consume my life.  but, what i read was really good.  so hopefully i'll find time soon to just sit down and finish it.

so, what's new with me?  life has been so hectic this past month or so since i've been back to school.

sorority:  recruitment was an exhausting two weeks, but it's over now.  but since i'm part of the new member board, i have to go to all the new member meetings as well as chapter each week.  and we have our temporary "little roses", or little sisters, that we basically take under our wing for a few weeks - take them out to lunch, take them to parties, basically just make sure they are having a good time.

class: my classes this semester are interesting, but this semester is much more reading-intensive than semesters past.  fortunately, i have friends in most of my classes so i have someone to study with.  but already, i've had a huge exam in my international economics class and i have an exam in my world politics class on tuesday.  oy vey.  my friend mollie and i will be in the library all  night, i predict.

activities: in addition to alas (association of latin and american students), which i've been involved with since freshman year, and adopt-a-school tutoring twice a week (after school program in a low-income largely hispanic area), i also started to get more involved with a christian organization on campus.  i actually went to a conference in indiana for christians in the greek system and it was so awesome.  i met so many great people and had so much fun.  not to mention, and i know i shouldn't say this because i should have been thinking about God, but hot damn, one of the musicians in the band at the conference was so cute.  too bad he's 26.  and i'll probably never see him again.  oh wells.  i kinda have my eye set on this reallyreallysexylatinoseniorwhoiscompletelyoutofmyleaguebutienjoyobsessingabouthimanyway.

also, i have a new fandom.  friday night lights.  i'm obsessed and pretty much caught myself up in a week.  that's a little over a season and a half.  yeah, i have a life.  i had no time during the week, so i only watched 1-2 episodes a day.  but friday, i watched quite a few right after my class got out at 2.  then i went out.  and then when i got back i watched a few more, went to bed, and watched all day saturday.  i realize the patheticness, but i can't help it.  it's such a pretty show.  so naturally, i had to get out of my art slump and make something.  i'm not sure what i think of them, but you can find them at my graphics journal.

i finally got myself completely caught up on one tree hill.  all the girls look so pretty this season.  i hate nannie carrie, naturally.  oh, and the girl who plays mia, kate voegele, went to my college.  some of my sorority sisters know her.  she's actually coming here on her concert tour, but the venue she's playing at uptown is really small and sold out forever ago, i'm sure.

what else, ummm.  i haven't watched GH in weeks.  i'm still really bitter about coop and georgie dying.  although, i really do want to watch for johnny&lulu and spinelli&maxie (bff).  but as of late, i haven't been able to stomach it.  at all.  although sarah brown's return does intrigue me.  is she going to stay around for awhile?  or is it a temporary thing?  oh, and i'm really nervous about how this whole baby storyline is going to go.  i just want my scrubs together again.  it has been wayyy too long.  and leyla is still a whore.  and i have absolutely new interest in the new doctor.  none whatsoever.  so, in sum, GH sucks the big one.
